The offered test socket has been designed specially for testing purposes. It enables the connection of devices of safety class II with mains plugs of different national standards. Particularly on product carriers and test adapters this long-living universal socket is used frequently. Not only the compact installation dimensions - in comparison to using several national standards sockets - excel this product of SPS electronic. Moreover, where standard sockets will wear out rapidly during continuous usage, the SPS socket will persist.
These universal test sockets are suited solely for purposes of electrical safety testing. Due to the inherent risk of accident, the test sockets may only be used by instructed personnel. Depending on the actual appliance, additional safety measures may have to be taken.

The most important of all the safety testing operations is the testing with high voltage. More often than not these tests are performed by hand. In such cases the safety test pistol is the link between the operator, high voltage tester and DUT. The purpose of the safety test pistol is to safely contact high voltage and to protect the operator against contact with high voltage. Our safety test pistols SP02 and SP03 completely meet these requirements.
Special attention has been paid to ergonomics and the handling of the pistol. When performing hundreds of tests per day this aspect is of great importance for easy testing and, at the same time, safe testing.

If, in accordance with EN 50 191, a test station with automatic protection against accidental contact has to be installed, a test fixture would be the perfect solution. The safety installation against indirect contact must guarantee that there are only voltages at the DUT when the enclosure lid is closed. A single fault must not prevent the disconnection at opening.
The cage is equipped with with one safety limit switch. The DUT is connected via 4 mm laboratory sockets, power outlet or multiple connectors according to DIN 41622. For upward swivelling of the acrylic glass hood, additional space is needed at the rear of the cage, exceeding the outer dimensions by 300 mm, with a max. swivelling angle of 75 degrees. The upward swivelling is supported by cylinders (air damping), i.e. secure stopping at upward position. The connection lines of the test cage are led out at the back. The built-in safety relay board offers protection from hardwarelike disconnection.
